DEVELOPMENT OF MULTIMEDIA PACKAGE IN TEACHING GEOGRAPHICAL CONCEPTS AT SECONDARY LEVEL
Abstract
The use of multimedia in education has become increasingly popular in recent years. In this article, we explore the development of a multimedia package for teaching geographical concepts at the secondary level. The package consists of a series of interactive lessons that incorporate text, images, audio, and video elements. The effectiveness of the multimedia package was evaluated through pre- and post-tests administered to a sample of students. The results indicated a significant improvement in students' knowledge and understanding of geographical concepts after using the multimedia package. The use of multimedia in teaching geographical concepts has several benefits, including catering to the diverse learning styles of students, enhancing engagement and motivation, and supporting the development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
