FDI DYNAMICS: UNLEASHING ECONOMIC GROWTH IN NIGERIA THROUGH COINTEGRATION ANALYSIS
Abstract
This study investigates the multifaceted relationship between Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and economic growth in Nigeria, employing a rigorous cointegration analysis. Nigeria, as a significant player in the global investment landscape, has witnessed a steady influx of FDI over the years. However, the precise impact of FDI on the nation's economic growth remains a subject of scholarly debate and policy concern. Through cointegration analysis, this research dissects the long-term equilibrium relationship between FDI and economic growth in Nigeria, shedding light on the dynamic interplay between these variables. Our findings provide valuable insights for policymakers, investors, and scholars alike, offering a nuanced understanding of FDI's role in unlocking Nigeria's economic potential.
